| In accordance with the objective in establishing
Dana Sejahtera Mandiri Foundation, the programs managed or supported
by Foundation are related to its effort in empowering the prosperous
family to be self-reliance, or programs related to the effort in eradicating
poverty.
Based on the above objective, Dana Sejahtera Mandiri Foundation
has several Guiding, Accompanying and Loan Scheme programs for Pre
prosperous and First prosperous or Less privilege families, or well
to do family that can assist in eradicating the less privilege family
by employing them or adopting member of the family as adopted and
foster child to be self reliance and benefit to the child.
Several programs managed or supported by Damandiri Foundation are:
Year 1995/1996 – 2002 – TAKUKESRA.
Year 1998 – 1999 – KPKU and KPTTG TASKIN.
Year 1999 up to present - PUNDI, SUDARA and KUKESRA MANDIRI

HUMAN RESOURCES EMPOWERING AID PROGRAM
Year 1996 to present.
Empowering less privilege family also has a relation in empowering
their children. Since 1996 Damandiri Foundation has participated
in providing aid to empower less privilege family’s children
through scholarship for Elementary, Junior High School and Senior
High Schools levels through GN-OTA institution.
The initiative was taken after finding out how difficult to empower
directly these children through their pre prosperous uneducated
parents. Since then, Foundation has started learning to empower
the less privilege family’s children who are entering work
force or those who are studying at university. This effort taken
to accelerate the process and to provide opportunity for these self-sufficient
children to later empower their family.
Year 2000 to present
Based on the above matter, Damandiri Foundation partners with Supersemar
Foundation has taken an effort to stimulate the less privilege family’s
children who are in Senior High School both public and private schools
to take Public University Entry Exam (UMPTN). The initial program
conducted to assist these children was purchasing exam form, providing
housing at the exam site and paying for their tuition if they admitted
to a public university. However, it recognized that the academic
quality of these children were very low therefore the aid target
provided each year couldn’t be entirely absorbed. To improve
this condition, started in 2002 the aid was upgraded to Aid in Increasing
Quality of Education for the less privilege family’s children
who were attending Senior High School, Vocational School and Islamic
Middle School in West region of Indonesia. Aid in the form of savings
called Self Reliance Study Program has been adopted nationally on
May 2nd, 2002 to be “national movement in increasing quality
of education”.
In continuing, improving and developing the 2002 and 2003 program
activities, Damandiri Foundation focuses on Empowering Human Resources,
especially the less privilege children and teenagers, particularly
girl. The aid consists of Self Reliance Study Fee, Tuition, Savings
Awareness Movement, and Thesis Research related to topic on Poverty
Eradication and Human Resources Empowerment.
Besides those programs, Damandiri Foundation also provides reward
to customers who diligently have made installment to their loan
and whose business is progressing. While directing the program to
increase customers’ enthusiasm, it also provides award to
the customers’ neighbors who have been very supportive as
Foundation’s partner in the village. This program provides
funding to the customers’ children or their neighbors’
children who assists the customer’s effort. The Partner Bank
of the Foundation provides funding to these children to take various
vocational courses in hoping the skills learned by these children
who generally drop out from Junior and Senior High School might
help conducting their parents business back in their villages.
