Partnership in Eradicating Poverty

A foundation that established to accommodate the need of Government to prosper its people and a willingness of any businessman to assist the Less Prosperous, Pre-prosperous Family and First Prosperous Family, is not able to stand from lengthy bureaucracy in a loan system. Therefore, assistance provided by Yayasan Dana Sejahtera Mandiri (YDSM) disbursed in term of Kukesra (Prosperous Family Business Loan), a small amount, and very low interest loan.
The creditors not only receive a cash loan, but they also introduced to a savings culture. Ten percent of the loan received must be saved, later in time, their businesses will develop, and they will have a significant amount of savings to be used for future capital.
In Indonesian’s family life, prosperity is a goal of people that must be fought together between Government and all of Indonesians. Indonesia’s success in suppressing the birth rate has gained International reputation. Next duty is assisting a pre-prosperous family to be a Prosperous Family as has been aimed.
Therefore, family as a core unit in society plays a role to determine the national development. It must be developed to grow as a self-reliance and sustainable prosperous family that can participate as successful and beneficial human resources for the development.
Based on the above background Yayasan Dana Sejahtera Mandiri (YDSM) was established, and driven by pure willingness to eradicate other fellow Indonesians whose prosperity level is still behind. The fund accumulated by YDSM saved and managed by PT. Bank BNI, then it disbursed to groups of the Effort in Increasing Prosperous Family Income (UPPKS) in a form of Prosperous Family Business Loan (KUKESRA). Loan and savings performed by UPPKS groups served by PT. Pos Indonesia.
In conducting all activities and the existing programs, Yayasan Dana Sejahtera Mandiri (YDSM) develops its program for the interest of the less prosperous family. Therefore, it teams up with various parties either as a business partner or an active supporter. In order for all programs and activities to be known by the society, each program always conducted openly supported by strong and transparent public relations.
Partnership with government institutions, higher institutions, Islamic boarding schools, private sectors, and other is also conducted transparently. Some of its partners are: State Banks, Private/general Banks, Bank Pembangunan Daerah (Regional Development Bank), Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (People’s Lending Bank), Financial or other institution, the Office of Coordinator Minister for People’s Welfare, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Religion, the Office of State Minister for Woman Empowerment, BKKBN, and other government institutions, State and Private Universities, Mass Media such as newspapers, TV and Radio stations, special publishers, Regional Government, Islamic Boarding Schools, Private foundations, companies, and other institutions.
